Best vet in town. Wouldnt go anywhere else. Do a great job with clipping dogs nails.

Racecourse vet was the first vet I consulted for my dog's joint pain, heavy breathing and coughing and other flu like symptoms. She didn't even listen to his chest. She told me he had some obscure autoimmune disease "like her husband". She sent me an hour an a half away to the gold coast to a specialist to check for autoimmune. She said she couldn't do it in her clinic because his kidney function reading was abnormal and she didn't want to risk putting him under. When I got to the gold coast, $2000 + later, they said autoimmune was"inconclusive". They also said that they wouldn't have been concerned about the kidney reading and that the racecourse vet could have done the test there. To add to the emotional and financial pain I was then struck by a hail storm on the way back from this unnecessary journey and it cost $11,500 in damage. I am still grieving after the loss of my beautiful boy. I did find a very skilled vet in Lismore who found a heart based tumour. A tumour so big, bigger than his beautiful big heart. All he did was listen to my dogs chest and he heard the beat on one side but not the other. He then followed up with xrays. Unfortunately we wasted three months with the racecourse vet and another before getting the diagnosis. Perhaps this tumour may have been operable if the racecourse vet was thorough and competent and not obsessed with her husband's disease. It has taken me almost a month after my loss to post this review but I only hope that others can avoid the same fate. Still, nothing will bring him back now. This vet is accountable in so many ways on so many levels.
