    Obnoxious manager, altering contract to suit his personal needs. I use Hertz regularly, since, unlike many other companies, it does not try to catch you out with nasty surprise fees. This time, however, the day after I booked, a man, who introduced himself as the branch manager Ali called telling me that despite what the confirmation email says, I get no grace period and have to return the car half an hour before the time I paid for, as "this is how they work here". Once at the airport, I pointed out that their closing time is 9 pm and not 6.30 pm on Sunday, but he didn't care what was in the confirmation email. I asked whether that means that I'm going to get a discount or a credit voucher, but his response was most rude: "I don't understand what you're talking about". He agreed to email me the altering of contract confirming that I did not accept the alteration, and to this day, over a week later, I haven't received it. I have submitted a complaint and hope that Hertz address this issue with this staff member that does not do any favours to the company's good reputation.
